Just as prayer is important in a spiritual battle, so is praise. Praise is not just singing and dancing. It is activity done in the spirit realm that helps you win your battle.
I want to share with you one of my favorite scriptures on praise. I guarantee you, if you praise you will see tremendous change in your battle.
Psalm 149 - Praise ye the LORD. Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise in the congregation of saints. Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King. Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp. For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation. 5 Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand; To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD.
Gracious – Let me break this down. Praise does three major things in battle:
1. To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people – This means that praise takes vengeance on your enemies and inflicts punishments on them. Praise accomplishes what you can’t do with your hands. When you want to get someone back do not use your hands, use your dance and a song!
2. To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron – Their kings and nobles represent the Satan’s kingdom that rules with an iron fist. Now according to the bible, Satan is loose to wreak havoc on the earth for a period of time. However, you can bind his tactics! Whatsoever you bind on earth is bound in heaven and whatsoever you loose on earth is loose in heaven. Praise is used to bind and loose! If you want to get rid of depression…PRAISE! If Satan and his demons are bullying you PRAISE! If you want to loose peace…PRAISE! There are just some things Satan is not going to GIVE you. Matthew 11:12 - And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force. The scripture says BY FORCE! You have to SNATCH back what you want from SATAN…HALLEUJAH!!
3 To execute upon them the judgment written: This is the best part! Did you know that your enemies ALREADY HAVE JUDGEMENT LAYING OVER THEIR HEADS?? LOL! It’s just not EXECUTED YET! To executed means to put something in action, to carry out, to perform and to implement. Your praise actually starts the judgment rolling!! See, the scripture says that your enemies judgment is ALREADY written! God knows exactly how he wants to handle your battle. He is just waiting for you to cooperate with him.
Praise is a powerful weapon to use in your battle. You will see things change drastically if you just open your mouth and praise his Name!!!
